Planned Maintenance

Postponement of Planned Maintenance Program 2020 - 2025

The Scottish Government has now moved most areas into Tier 4 which prevents non-essential works such as kitchen or bathroom replacements being carried out in occupied properties. Unfortunately, this inevitably means that the investment programme has been postponed once again due to the ongoing Co-vid pandemic.

Once the Scottish Government ease restrictions which permits works of this nature to commence in occupied properties, the Association will update the website accordingly.

Lift Renewals at 6 & 8 Methil St

Methil Street Lift PhotoDue to the current Covid-19 pandemic WSHA had to temporarily postpone the Planned Lift Replacement at 6 Methil Street which was due to commence at the end of March 2020. This decision was taken in line with UK and Scottish Government safety guidelines requiring all non-essential construction work to cease as part of the strategy to tackle the Corona virus outbreak and protect our residents, tenants, staff and contractors.

As the UK and Scottish Government have begun to ease restrictions and now permit construction work to take place, Consult Lifts assessed the impact of the pandemic and produced updated Risk and Method statements to mitigate and minimise the risks to our tenants when carrying out the works in the close.

We are pleased to announce that the lift replacement at 6 Methil Street was completed and the feedback we have received from the tenants has been positive.

Consult Lifts are confident that the ongoing lift replacement works at 8 Methil Street is on track to be completed within the next month.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
