Over the last 9-12 months we have been working on developing our new Business Plan for the next 5 years.

The outcome of all this preparatory work is the Draft Business Plan which can be viewed on the website.  Please let us know your thoughts about the style, content and strategic priorities set out in the Business Plan so we can use your feedback to help shape the final version that will be launched in November 2024.

Summary of Approach

Stakeholder engagement in a community context involves actively involving individuals, groups, and organizations that are affected by or can affect a project or initiative. Here are some of the key principles and benefits embedded in our approach to stakeholder engagement:

Key Principles of Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Communication: Understand the people you will be working with and share relevant information with them
  2. Consultation: Engage stakeholders early and often to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed
  3. Human-Centric Approach: Recognise that stakeholders are individuals with their own emotions and agendas.

Benefits of Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Improved Decision-Making: Engaging stakeholders can lead to better decisions that are more widely accepted by the community
  2. Enhanced Trust and Relationships: Building strong relationships with stakeholders fosters trust and co-operation
  3. Sustainable Development: Effective engagement ensures that development projects are sustainable and equitable

Examples of Stakeholder Engagement

  • Community Meetings: Regular meetings to discuss ongoing projects and gather feedback.
  • Surveys and Questionnaires: Tools to collect input from a broader audience.
  • Workshops and Focus Groups: Interactive sessions to delve deeper into specific issues.
